Burdock Tea

Burdock tea, is a herbal tea made from the root of the burdock plant. Long used in Chinese medicine. The benefits include:

Does Burdock Root Tea Contain Caffeine?

Burdock tea is not a tea in the traditional sense. It is brewed using parts of the burdock plant, which does not contain any caffeine. As such, burdock root tea is caffeine-free.

Cautions

Burdock root is generally regarded as safe, however, certain people should not use burdock tea.

(1) Pregnant woman should avoid burdock tea as it may stimulate the uterus and cause premature labor.

(2) People with diabetes who take blood-sugar lowering medicines should not use burdock root as it may cause hypoglycemia.

(3) The most common side effect reported is a rash (contact dermatitis).

(4) Women who are breast feeding or having menstrual period.

Make A Cup of Burdock Teaa

Add one tea spoon burdock slices into a cup, then pour boling water over the herbs. Cover the cup with a lid and wait for 15 mins.
